I am not sure why you keep jumping to extreme conclusions - except for the fact that instead of doing your own research and making investment decisions based on the level of risk in a company and your own risk tolerance, you seek answers from unknown strangers who, mostly, have access to all the same information that is available to you.
No one on here can predict with certainty what will happen. Some people are closer to the action but that can turn them into true believers if the stories are good enough. We appear to have a great resource but others have tried to commercialise it in the past without success. This team are trying to apply new techniques to make it a reality and this has slowed things down (but potentially also increased the value). There are still lots of hurdles to overcome - but that is what you get investing in risky assets. No one can give you comfort - make your decisions and live with them. The price will only rise as risk comes off the table - so you either win big by getting in early or lose big if it does not work. If you prefer more certainty, get out for a while and preserve your cash and get back in when there are less risks.
My belief is they got into helium because they were presented with (or found) an opportunity. It appears this team like throwing darts. Not many (none yet?) have hit since PLS but I guess they are in a position to keep having a go.
