I believe @Foibles was referring to the natural inability of we techy-nerdy types in running a commercial operation. A lot of the achievements you listed are fairly closely aligned with tech-nerdy skills. Preparing a presentation to demonstrate that the tech is worth an investment, and a factory, and a business... no problem! Managing projects to make coordinate execution of those things... lots of techy-nerds enjoy that too.

But sales... hate it! Bring a techy-nerd along to answer any techy-nerdy questions, but the pitching... the schmoozing... the not-accepting-no.. the haggling over prices and delivery times... you're making me vomit!

Worse... techy-nerds are really incompatible with the personalities of people who are good at sales, which means that tech startups are typically awful at accepting that they need to hire managers who will recognise that the neet to hire salespeople.

This is why tech startups are typically so awful at pivoting to commercial operation.

So I think Foibles is absolutely right to identify this as a risk to be monitored. They look to be doing okay so far, but the company's ability to mitigate this risk will have a significant impact on our investment returns.
