The chart below depicts daily gross short sales for AL3 for about the past couple of weeks. It does appear to me that short sales of even minimal quantities can be used to walk the share price down. Meanwhile, the culprit may be hoovering up at a cheap price any sales that can be shaken loose. I do find it curious that these short sales, although small volumes, don't result in reporting of outstanding short sales by AML3D (See https://download.asic.gov.au/short-selling/RR20250114-001-SSDailyAggShortPos.pdf)
