Although these figures could not be regarded as substantial, they may accumulate to something meaningful, bearing in mind it doesn't take huge short sales to control a share price. Just smart timing of small amounts will do that job IMO.
Even though those figures can accumulate, if they cross some threshold that ASIC may use, the total of outstanding short sales is supposed to be reported in a Daily report from ASIC here: https://download.asic.gov.au/short-selling/RR20250619-001-SSDailyAggShortPos.pdf
So far, I can find no figures reported for AL3 in that daily report ...... yet.
Make of that what you will, but it might be worth keeping an eye on.
