Small caps and obviously those pre-production are being (probably correctly) harshly treated in light of geopolitical trade and financial uncertainty. Whether gold is the tonic for that remains to be seen. It's my bet but one can't fault or (argue with) rational investors.
Yesterday, I took 12% out of small caps, in my Aust mainly mining, portfolio. Not MEK but one can see why others might. In the end it's driven by overall funds flows into the sector I.e. top-down. I was also a probably a 1-2 weeks late.
If I/we ignore it, I may well end up bruised. Of course, it's never really talked about on HC which is designed for discussion on individual stocks in isolation.
I try and make it to the AGM.
