Antimony is not a rare earth. It is a designated U.S. defense-critical mineral with entirely different supply dynamics. China doesn’t have surplus antimony. Production is under strain due to declining domestic reserves and rising internal demand. Even China’s antimony imports are dropping, meaning they’re struggling to secure enough feedstock — not exporting it. Unlike REEs, antimony has direct military applications — and China has zero incentive to help the U.S. produce more weapons. Western antimony prices have remained firm — there’s no actual price collapse. This looks like a typical knee-jerk overreaction from U.S. retail.

With the U.S. still producing zero primary antimony, and TMG now owning one of the largest undeveloped projects in America — this is exactly the kind of supply the Pentagon and Department of Defense are looking to back.Let the noise fade.
