As I mentioned above, unlike gold, producing graphite concentrates is a low-cost margin game. Comet will quickly realise that. Therefore, they will not make money by just providing feedstock to someone. They will need to spend more money on more drill results to prove up their resource. With the view that by going downstream they may have a chance to have a profitable and therefore viable business.
Even then they may not be able to compete with the kind of scale and project economics that RNU is offering. Their flat-lying one ‘very large’ and continuous orebody (still open) will have to be even to or somehow more advantageous. Either way, that’s years away for them if you include a scoping study, feasibilty study, etc.
There is no barrier to entry. So maybe they can make it work in time.
