How about stock gazumping?
Just a thought, with today’s technology you could work out a system so that stocks could be automatically gazumped at the end of each trading day to a slightly higher bidder than your agreed selling price, if another bid was available. It would work like property gazumping which is a legal practice in many countries.
The idea is to keep the market steadier than otherwise it would be which is the overall objective of the ASX anyhow. Believe it or not!
It might entice a lot of cash up investors who are sitting on the sidelines looking for a place to invest if they were guaranteed a steadier marketplace.
Alternatively, if you find the right commodity, in the right place, at the right time, stay long as hell then you don't have to worry so much – not financial advice.
