Pa-one, that is exactly why I am in the long game because the underlying demand and supply eventually plays out. I would argue that the super computers are stealing from the institutions who while they trade in large blocks algorithmically, the slowness of their trade enables the big organisations to pick them off. This is done by a system that enables them to buy or sell etc at super speed, in that they get a view of selling/buying depth to probalistically work out the direction of the market on future stocks. That reduces profitability of institutions that represent pensioner, super funds etc. With reduced profitability, leads to inflationary fees to make up the shortfall they traditionally enjoyed. This game now is about riding in the shadows of the smart money to work out what the strategy is as best as one can. Is it competitive advantage or theft? Got to really understand the system.
