Agreed... that 5% and high volume figure will be looked at all weekend long which will definitely help on Monday. Of course, the US market decided to continue its "kangaroo" pattern of up days followed by down days so there might pave pressure from that angle.
This week will be extremely interesting with the Fed meeting on 21 and 22 March to set rates and also discuss their outlook etc. Gold is indicating that this will be a very bullish event for equities (potentially looking at an easing of policy and even a hint that rates may be lowered in the near future!)
