Can't fault your logic. This is going to get complicated before its resolved.

I can't imagine the US and any other country involved , maybe even Europe, opening the door to China EV's when there own Auto companies are going to be limited to only graphite Ex-China. The cost of domestically produced EV's may rise due to attempting to find other less efficient graphite sources (which takes time) and the lack of own vehicles entering the market.

This could easily spread to other critical materials and products. China first restricted Gallium and Germanium, US and Netherlands restricted High tech chips and now Graphite as a reply. China controls many other critical rare earth minerals.

Shots fired in a trade war. No idea of where it will end.

I may be over reacting, we shall see exactly who is initially directly effected by this action in December and their response. The problem is when the US markets sneeze, the world catches cold.

We shall see?
