It's pleasing to see - but we really need private industry to step up (which will happen with demand).
Seeing the government installing 98 stalls for $43M does not seem like good value to me. Also installing single chargers reminds me of my home state installing a one-way freeway. It's all going to have to be ripped up and redone in no time.
Sorry - a bit off topic - but the public needs to see their money spent better!
For example BP USA issued an order to Tesla last week for $100M of SuperChargers to install at their service stations and other businesses around the US (BP has already deployed over 27,000 stations in the US according to the press release). I bet they are getting better value for money than the WA Govt
