Ark Energy(Korea) is to build huge battery south of Casino in NSW.It is likely to be the biggest battery in the world and is Lithium iron phoshphate.
There are more and overseas countries like South Africa are on a similar trajectory.It is interesting that they are all Lithium iron batteries.Flow batteries are looking to compete in this space but most are in their pilot stage and are therefore not ready for deployment.
Now the point is where will they get what I would imagine are large quantise of Graphite?Someone may find some research going forward.
