I don't think it's going to drag out beyond this year. Here's why:
We are now living in a post CV19 environment where global industries and their respective supply chains have changed completely. Australia is going to seize this once-in-a-lifetime chance to emerge as a Clean Energy Superpower, and it will do so very shortly.
If it hasn't been disclosed beforehand, and as @TB51 has subtly pointed out, the Australia's response to the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will be fully revealed in the May budget. According to reports, the Albanese government is preparing a significant financial package in response to the US$624 billion IRA. This bodes well for Australia's future as a global leader in clean energy.
Our manufacturing landscape will forever change (and possibly overnight) as a result of the new multibillion dollar package of subsidies and co-investment for renewable energy and new businesses that are set to benefit. In addition to fostering job growth, Australia will become more secure, resilient, trustworthy and highly attractive to international supply chains. The Siviour project is perfectly poised for an anode player that is also ready to partner with us as a result.
Furthermore, Siviour will be a new industry and a 100% domestic project, so it will be able to set the standard for future initiatives of a similar nature – get one over the finish line other graphite ventures will follow. Otherwise, the phrase "superpower" is unnecessary.
DC has created completion for our resource. Talks are advanced and he has stated we are on the cusp. Combine that with, Australia using its wealth and status to capture the moment, things could and should happen sooner than people would think possible.
FOMO still remains with the anode players and, our resident troll with googly eyes!
