I have read on this thread in the past warnings that solid state batteries are going to replace Lithium ion batteries.It seems not.
The founder of CATL has labelled them as impractical and unsafe.Dr Robin Zeng said we fully support solid state batteries.I have been investing in them for 10nyears.But they cannot last many charging cycles and are dangerous.How could you possibly make them commercially viable he said.
So it seems like Lithium ion and increasingly lithium ion phosphate batteries are going to be with us going into the future,supplemented in small numbers by sodium ion batteries.CATL are believed to be entering a patent agreement for Tesla to produce its new generation lithium ion phosphate batteries in the US.
All good for RNUs future.I also share positivity about Albaneses announcement today.I reckon we are one of the first cabs off the rank.I don’t think it’s coincidence that DC was invited to accompany trade delegations overseas.To me the company wouldn’t be busily working behind the scenes to get construction ready if we weren’t going there.
