The article states:

"Graphite miners told Reuters that allowing the free flow of graphite from China into North America harms their chances of raising capital as auto makers would shun future offtake agreements if they could source graphite from China cheaply."

Now jump back to the reply I shared from DC where he states:

"the current situation is not sustainable for a number of reasons. First, Chinese demand for natural flake graphite will outstrip its own supply."

He then went on to outline why I believe RNU is in such a unique position:

"The bigger risk for non-Chinese EV participants inthat China will simply no longer make its inputs available outside ofChina. This is unacceptable for the Western EV sector, at it wouldthreaten the economic viability of the entire industry. As a result,we’ve seen initiative like the IRA put in place to encourage non-Chinese supplychain."

"As we move forward, I would expect even more pressure from governments to promote ex-China supply chains, whether through subsidies (grants and loans), enforcement of tariffs or requirements for non-China supply."

I guess he would know...right?
