Slogans like "a future made in Australia" are nothing more than press release fodder - again, it is let's do the least amount possible and hope corporations solve the issues. The fact that they say "The Future Made in Australia plan is about attracting and enabling investment" speaks for itself ..........

The Capitalist approach won't work against the current forces who will subsidise their industry to enable cheaper and cheaper output, thereby eliminating the competition - it is not a 4 year cycle.

Why not subsidise the output (flake & PSG) per tonne say $100 & $200 - for the first couples of years to encourage the BOA. It would cost (1st stage) a whooping $17M per year (if my maths is right) - bugger all really.

A cheap loan is good but it is still a loan after all - the price per tonne is the sticking point due to high inflationary pressure ..........
