Not much discussion on HC about the varying quality levels of Li-ion batteries. I doubt that they are all produced to the same quality or have had undergone similarly strict QC checks.
One can only hope that much more financial investments are put into battery tech to prevent the increasingly prevalence of Li ion fires and explosions. The tech is already available, just that the political will needs to catch up.
Such disasters can happen to any of us. Not everything about EV is glamorous.
