Tanzania has big problems with child labour in mines, Elon Musk has previously made comments to the effect that Australia was a preferred source for Lithium for Tesla because we don't allow child labour and because we have strong environmental protections. I believe it was a tweet that he made a couple of years ago. At the time he also mentioned that they preferred to get Nickel from Canada for the same reasons.
