    The economist has an article regarding recent news that VW may close factories in Germany, they mentioned the looming onslaught of cheap Chinese EV's as one reason. The article you posted mentions BYD, Chinese EV makers are gaining a lot of traction in western markets and most new cars sold in China I understand are EV'S
