    I agree with your sentiment but the western car manufacturers sat on their bums for so long that they are well behind the Chinese.Also Governments took their eye off the ball.As for global citizens I totally concur with you,I too have watched what they have done in Africa and would be turned off investing in companies invested there.
    Geely own Lotus,Volvo,Polestar etc etc and I believe once they get here the servicing won’t be the problem that buying from a smaller Chinese manufacturer would be.But I have about 12 months to decide so I would want western EV manufacturers to lift their game to buy from them.I have a 10 year old Hyundai Santa Fe(diesel)and whilst happy with it it’s a guzzler.Also As good as my car is Hyundai have recalled lots of their brands to correct faults so what do you do?And really what car manufacturers don’t produce in China these days.Its a quandary
    One thing I can say is that if POSCO,Mitsubishi Chemicals,a US car manufacturer etc sign a binding contract to purchase our graphite that will definitely change my mind on the place of purchase of my next car!
