I have been contemplating the timing of the investor webinar and the comments from DC.
DC: “We will work together with the off take partners NOW with certain mechanisms in place”
It intrigues me that he conceded BOAs could’ve been signed by now.
So I have been speculating whether the decision to wait is related to the critical minerals marketplace which is said to be in the works, which would allow us to negotiate BOAs under a more favourable pricing and demand environment.
DC: “We don’t have to wait for the market to change as our potential customers are looking to mitigate the same supply risk that we are seeing.”
Comments from Madeleine King today appears to be referencing the establishment of the marketplace.
“While we have most of these minerals here in the ground, they are traded in thin, volatile markets or markets that are opaque and at risk of manipulation. It is important that we bolster the sector’s capabilities to detect, prevent and mitigate foreign interference. That’s why we are working with partner countries like the US, Japan and Korea to strengthen markets and supply chains.” (Link)
