For those doubting the use of batteries in the future, just look around you, every new car is either an EV or a hybrid for the most part. At a minimum due to emissions standards car companies would need to move to hybrids. Then you have battery backup storage being implemented for electricity grids. I just can't see why everyone would instantly decide nah we're going back to gas guzzling cars & dirty diesel trucks/cars. I'm happy to hear opposing views of course. All the investment that has been made in gigafactories around the world etc. That would be a lot for companies to just walk away from & make massive losses. What are the alternatives when so many companies are midway through massive investments like this?

there is massive losses happening and loads of giga factories cancelling their build outs and or canceling their expansion plans.
