Im worried about synthetic graphite huge rise in market share. Its lower impurities seem to make batterys safer, faster to charge, and longer life.
Althougg its more dirty to produce maybe this wont be the case in future if the furnaces can be powered by cheap renewable energy.
Im worried our only saving grace is china trade war escalating. And even then if battery producers prefer synthetic capital will go there and not to natural producers.
I think china has successfully scalled synthetic grapite production and reduced the cost to produce it that natural just cant compete like they did with solar panels and doing with evs and most electronics. Sure its not enviromentally friendly but i dont think most of the market or companies care about that unfortunately and maybe in future when it is produced with green power it will be even closer to natural esg credentials.
Im still holding on and have averaged down alot but yeah alot of pain. Praying for a turnaround, but fundamentals dont look good at these graphite prices.
