Just a side note re Mallyrock's post.

Hei Long Jiang province is famous for its coal resources. There are hundreds of ( if not thousands of) coal mines (state controlled, private, illegal private... you name it) near Hei Long Jiang. To CCP, these are free resources to burn to create synthetic graphite.

This is the fundamental issue, the cost of producing synthetic graphite is close to nothing to China. That is why RNU states this practice can never be replicated outside China. If synthetic graphite does reflect its "true" cost, it could be 3-5x times than producing naturual.

There is no way we can stop Chinese doing this "unfair" trade. Perhaps from a greater view, if the coal is there, why not use them...
