I do have a real time platform I use, I'll have a closer look tomorrow and see if I can catch it. I think we are describing something very similar the only difference is that you're saying that some orders are being removed when buying/selling starts into it to make it appear the register is larger than it is. Yeah, from time to time I cancel an order I have that hasn't completely filled, this is doable by retail (me/you etc) as well.
I'll have a closer look tomorrow and try do a screen capture. BTW, I have seen this happening on other stocks but I don't watch RNU that closely these days. The orders I hate HATE are the front runners or blind orders. You can't see them in the register but they are there hidden. This was confirmed with commsec one as totally legal after one of my orders sat at the front of the queue but didn't fire even though trades were going through at that price.
