To add to your enthusiasm, consider that several companies have recently released models that have a solar panel/power source built into the roof of their car. Many more OEM's are developing the idea. This technology is in its early days, and I believe this is a bigger game changer than automated driving. As well as providing 'free fuel' it takes pressure of the grid & charging station issues.
Once the technology is perfected, can you imagine releasing an EV that DOESN'T have it?
