I do feel as if they are pulling the "minerals" strings and they are exploiting the Wests addiction to short term $$$. Nickel prices exploded back in early 2022 and companies diverted to nickel exploration. The same thing has happened with Lithium, Graphite, PGEs, REEs, etc Like kids chasing candy for a quick sugar hit biggrin.png

Western investment banks have also exploited this situation by shorting various companies (such as PLS, RNU, LYC, NTU, etc). China has just done this on a much larger scale ..........

I believe the West needs to do way more than "Made in AU" garbage - to me that is let's do the "least" amount possible and see if companies will come to the party with a few "cheapish" loans. Sorry that will not cut it - generally our costs are too high apart from RNU wink.png

Our high costs (due to inflation, housing, energy, etc) is making us uncompetitive - we need vertical integration across many of our minerals, limit the export of raw ore (like Indo did). Imagine if Indonesia start making EV batteries what does that say about the policies in our country.

Good on RNU for trying to buck the trend (avg grade resource, low cost producer, vertical integration?, etc) - see what 2025 holds ..........
