solid state batteries are so delicate that the phone manufacturers can't even make them reliable for consumer electronics. They have poor longevity because the solid material that is used in place of the electrolyte is so brittle that it can't stand up to the shocks and vibrations. The chinese manufacturers that claim to be using semi-solid-state actually aren't solid state, they're just a Li-Ion battery that uses a gel for the electrolyte rather than a liquid.
