Just out of curiosity emailed Major Projects and Facilitation Agency - Dept of Industry Science and Technology the other day and asked if this project will ever come to fruition.
Got a reply from the Manager of the MPFA:
Thank you for your email - Major Project Status was awarded by the Minister for Industry and Science to the Siviour Battery Anode Materials Project in recognition of alignment with the Government’s strategic priorities and that it could benefit from MPFA facilitation services to navigate Commonwealth regulation. We are currently working with them to support them in this regard.
I suppose they are trying to make this become a reality, however, as we all know, sentiment of resources within the market is not in our favour..
