US graphite players’ tariff petition wins preliminary ITC trade case ruling
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has made a preliminary determination that China has suppressed the establishment of the US graphite industry through the export of artificially cheap anode material. Since December 2024, this particular case involving graphite has undergone a thorough hearing process rather than the imposition of unfair generic tariffs, which the White House has recently imposed. In my opinion, it is anti-dumping which I think is a more fitting term for it and deserves a more measured response.
Whatever happens, it should be advantageous to shovel-ready RNU.
