How many EVs are made in the US anyway? All of the model 3 for domestic consumpltion, but with the tariffs and people putting "I bought this Tesla before I knew musk was a facist/biggot/lunatic" and the stunning success of the CyberTruck, their 2024 sales dropping dows ~40% atm probably means in the future SFA. I think the global market for Teslas will dry up. Any Teslas are made in China imported to the US will now have 104% tariff if Trump is consistent. (Ha!) Japanese and S Korean makers will need batteries (Au Graphite) The top 20 list of EV makers around the world has 10 chinese firms in it and BYD is top of the list, Tesla is second. Panasonic(JPN) and LG (Kor) are the biggest suppliers of Tesla Batteires. I know this is all a bit disjointed, you can't expect a Global trade PHd in Hot Copper but China will dominate and use its own graphite for its own manufactures. Japan and Korea are probably the next best bet and we have potential deals with them so...worth a bet. Especially as Au is seen as a 'safe' supplier in a trading world gone mad.
