Sometimes I like to imagine what might happen if Australia followed suit with the US and imposed its own Tariffs of Critical Minerals on China. As little as that is necessary, given the fact we make sweet F all from those materials in country. It would probably hurt us more in retaliatory measures than it would help our own industry development.
That prospect, even as a hypothetical, really paints a bleak picture for Australia's economic complexity going into the future and how detrimentally slow any progress towards bringing manufacturing back in country really would be.
Another reason why I feel RNU is critically important to Australia on the whole. If RNU can make headwinds towards becoming an Anode manufacturer in line with the full business plan set out by DC and the BOD, that would really help pave the way for others I like to think.
