Diversify not in just companies but metals, its another way of risk minimization, if you focus on just one metal you run the risk of being caught out, invest in many and if one is going down another is going up hence you still get a return. Like I always have gold mine in my portfolio which has almost a negative beta, when people are nervous they invest in gold hence negating some of the loses from other sectors.
