It's great to have the AMEC, CEO Warren Pearce endorsing and driving this new policy.
To quote a concern from Pearce: "It's unclear to whom the government would sell the stockpiled material, or what that means for the existing industry. Once you sell material from a stockpile, there's an issue where you're competing with existing local producers. That bit hasn't been quite worked through and needs some serious industry consultation."
Since there is no existing industry in Australia producing Purified Sperical Graphite (PSG), there should be no issue with competition. And since there is no one else as advanced as RNU it stands to reason that RNU will probably be among the scheme's earliest beneficiaries, if not the first!!!
It seems to me that the only way exChina producers can play the game on equal terms is to do what China is doing. Interesting times!
