Nice one Mally, we have already seen pushback from LYC for the inclusion of rare earths in the Reserve.
The government has already indicated that stockpiles will be "modest and time-limited in most cases," (Link) thereby reducing the risk of market distortion as they will have less pressure to flood the market with accumulated stockpiles.
Therefore majority of the Reserve will be in the form of "holding security over these assets" via agreed volumes, potentially supported by prepayment.
DC said during the webinar:
"The proposed Reserve potentially promotes an earlier FID by taking some of the offtake risk away... ultimately, this looks quite positive to accelerate Renascor's timeline."
