    AMEC have released their submission to PlanSA for the Eyre and Western Regional Plan:

    "AMEC and industry appreciate the inclusion of mining projects in the list of ‘Key initiatives and projects’ in the Summary Plan (p. 7) and the ‘Mineral and energy resources’ section of the ‘download on-demand’ version of the draft plan (p. 25). These include the Whyalla steel works..., proposed Central Eyre Iron Project and Siviour Graphite project.

    There are other advanced mining projects that have not been included in the Plan that are of high value to the region and will require planning to support their development." (Link)
