    What seems missing from the above discussion is the fact that the ONLY reason China can control graphite production is because of subsidies to its manufacturers- particularly on energy costs.

    The real subsidy war is behind a veil.

    Burning subsidised coal to power electric kilns to burn petrochemical waste to produce ‘green’ batteries is not sustainable.
