I neglected to note that Albo will meet with the new South Korean and Japanese leaders for the first time since their elections (so glad that all our fair and just elections are over at this point in time, as it gives everyone including the multinationals certainty). These meetings are also significant because I assume that among the other issues on the agenda will be the bids from Nippon Steel and POSCO for the Whyalla steelworks with 2.4 Billion on the table, let alone RNU’s fully approved BAM project.

My view is that POSCO has given up on the African experiment. But they do have some competition for certainty of supply with the at least 12 bidders for the steelworks.

POSCO could make it economical with an all-in investment for anode material, now that RNU has been granted all of the necessary regulatory approvals for the BAM project. But maybe Trump will guzump them all.

FOMO is looking real for the multinationals.
