It would suggest POSCO-FM, doesn't have complete confidence in AU (and RNU) to supply PSG and/or at a reasonable price - I have written a few times that our costs here in AU are way too high given the low complexity of our economy. Yes, they supported the grant application for the demo plant, but no $$$ down for that or a BOA. Perhaps all they want is the concentrate now??

AU could start applying a "tax" proportional to the Chinese subsidies on the materials that go into battery EV's especially if it is only a few hundred dollars per EV. Then, pump that money back into the industries you want to grow. The EU is considering some "minimum" floor price now instead of tariffs - a bit like how the cash rate is set by the RBA.
