Yes @Sweetsound but I don’t think the art of negotiations is to call the shots. Then you come across as arrogant. And no one likes having to deal with them.
However, I’m suggesting that time is on our side not theirs. The more we hear about EV developments the better it is for us.
As I write, the G7 is in Cornwall discussing global affairs. If we hear more about the urgencies or tighter targets that shift us away from fossil-fuelled vehicles the better it is for everyone. It then puts more pressure on the Tier1 players to act with greater certainty.
It’s about who has fear of missing out (FOMO) first— us or them. However, we don’t want to get into a situation when it becomes us. Our clout is only limited to demand but it’s got to feel like a win win situation for all.
Based on RNU’s strategies and the way it has conducted itself to date with CEFC, government departments at all levels, etc, I think we have the right personnel in DC to get the most appropriate deal for us.
