Yes, I just love that, and unfortunately it appears to me, that few here on HC understand that the Diamond is the purest form of C.
Never mind, we may be able to help some to differentiate the difference between Graphite, with high C content, and a Diamond, Carbon with the symbol C on the Periodic Table, and the Atomic Number of 6.

I am not a critical bloke, I like for people to post what is truly correct when identifying aspects of any mineralsing systems, Mineralogy 101 or otherwise.

Let me just finish by saying, Graphite and its resulting and refined products are not the highest electrical conductor on planet Earth. But Cu (Copper) is in its natural form. As for your quote above (and I say it with all my humbleness) ...... Mica is one of the best insulators electrically, has been since about 1910, in addition, it is also one of the best conductors of heat.

But C NOT an insulator.

But refine that Grahite product, now we are talking business ! Full on with an extremely high demand for produts that can meet the QA/QC of the best battery developers globally.
