Additionally, what's happening in Ukraine (and the Ukrainians ingenuity) is literally changing the face of modern warfare. The use of cheap drones to take down essentially the last wars expensive technology (e.g. tanks, naval resources, etc.) and critical infrastructure, means lithium batteries are a key component of any future conflicts. This military use in my opinion is why arguing about supply/demand and EV take up, while legitimate, is also too narrow a focus, in addition to this, there is a repositioning of western countries in response to a deterioration of globalism and its vulnerable supply chains (highlighted by COVID and exacerbated by China's weaponization of trade). This and even more complexity (we are literally going through a change as big as the 1st industrial revolution and all its uncertainty) makes Graphite (and other minerals) the roller-coaster ride it is.
