The market is performing like its historical trend - Santa Rally into January, then entering February the markets continue to drop, only to rise in March and April. I think the SP will either flatten or drop some more in February and then rise again. Sure the catalysts are the rising interest rates, but there are always 'reasons to explain' why the market declines during these historical periods in the year.
However, any significant company developments could change that. I no longer try and time the market (limited to selling), as I have been more successful to simply buy dips or when whole markets are down. I'm aiming to save my pennies to buy more stock mid February.
