That's a fair opinion BUT you're talking to a boilermaker (proper stuff - pressure vessels for heavy industries, heritage steam engine parts and maintenance for government, pressure pipework and components for gas plants)..... our boys do an ASS of a job that is also VERY difficult and more importantly, back to the original point of the discussion, we are part of a dying breed of trades who actually make important stuff. Australia has (and still is) failed to look after these important grass roots downstream industries - focussed instead on simply selling our resources to overseas and buying back what THEY manufacture (and it's mostly non compliant rubbish by the way).
Almost impossible for me to train up good young apprentices .... they'd rather hold a "lollipop".
