A couple of tidbits:

I've started seeing on the internet ads for FIT testing put out by Cancer Institute NSW. If they want to increase the rate of eligible people getting tested for bowel cancer it is fairly clear that they don't need more advertising of the faecal test but rather they need to start using ColoSTAT. A 40% uptake clearly means that the current arrangement is not working.

Also I noticed another offspring of prolonged CSIRO research, Genetic Signatures (GSS), has secured a smallish foot-in-the-door contract from Public Health Wales to supply their enteric pathogens diagnostic kits for 3 + 2 years for up to A$1.8m a year. The contract is certainly not a company maker but I suppose it is better than nothing for a company that, like Rhythm, is trying to get into supplying public health agencies in Europe. Worth noting is that the Welsh did not seem to require the company to carry out any pilot studies before inking the deal.

I keep an eye of GSS but am not convinced that its story is as compelling as RHY's; for one ColoSTAT as a standalone product has such a massive total addressable market, let alone if they come up with products covering other cancers. In contrast GSS is doing okay presently seeing they have a commercialised COVID test but they have yet to deliver a category killing product. The two companies have similar market caps, for the time being at least.
