Post phase 2 is the sweet spot for a biotech takeover. There usually is some early efficacy data after phase 2 that the bigger company likes and by this point safety is reasonably de-risked, and phase 3 trials are so damn expensive that the smaller company needs a big fish to help them out.
AGN hit $1 in the madness of the market at the time. Every minnow stock was flying, many just because punters were flying into everything and everything. Now the market has changed, no easy money at the moment.
