So has anyone here actually used the My Health 1st website to make a booking? And does so regularly?

Admitted, I have been on the site a few times over the years, and this is what does my head in.
If you try and book a GP or Optometrist in a major city, you often see a pathetically small number of clinics available.
Some examples - all of the ACT has 3 dentists listed.
Sydney has 36 dentists (spead over an area as large as Sydney that is bugger all).

Doctors - only 2 in the ACT.
14 in Brisbane

So although I am curious - and I hate GP waiting rooms etc. I have never made a booking on it, it has not offered convenience, no way will I drive 20-30mins mins to a GP when I live in a Metro area.

And yet the company claims something like 11,000 practices are signed up with them? Where are they all?
My read is that for any booking platform to be useful, is that it must have a significant number of options available (aside from being user friendly, well priced etc). That is relies heavily on the netowrk effect, of success breading success. For example in the Travel industry, booking.com, webjet, etc there have been plenty of others who have also tried and failed along the way.
