This is really helpful for people trying to get their head around new technology development. It's the technology equivalent of "The most important graph in mining" (for all you guys used to investing in shovels and buckets).
Gartner Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies (2015)
Y-axis (vertical is "Expectations"). IOT is pretty much at the peak of "Hype" right now, which wont be much of a surprise to anyone. This is where the general population including Intel, Qualcomm, NXP, GE, etc, etc, all are. Now they are faced with the question "How the heck do we do all this!?!" The "trough of disillusionment" is looming.
But, personally, I think Xped is way ahead on this curve and companies that adopt Xped's tech will have an immediate bridge from the "Peak of Hype" across to the "Slope of Enlightenment".
BTW, look at the some of the things that haven't even reached peak of hype yet..."IOT platform" and "Connected home". Could the future be any brighter for Xped!
