That article is nearly a year old. Also, this thread was in relation to "spiky" output from KS1. If the issue was that AEMO was constraining output, it would result in lower peak output from the constrained solar farms, not variable output with spikes equal to the maximum generation capacity of the solar farm.

For example today, the output from KS1 was spiky. It peaked at around 45 MW. The market price did not drop below zero so unlikely to be self-curtailment due to negative prices.
